Professor Dr. Mutlu Özcan, continuing her career in Switzerland, is deemed worthy of the “Distinguished Scientist of the Year” Award by the International Association for Dental Research.
International Association for Dental Research, known as the most scientific organization of dentistry, announced its prizes for the year 2018. Professor Dr. Mutlu Özcan, continuing her career in Switzerland and Turkey, is deemed worthy of the “Distinguished Scientist of the Year” Award in her own discipline.
Her prize will be given to Özcan in the prize-giving ceremony to be organized in ExCel London Convention Center in London, capital city of Great Britain, on July 25, 2018. After graduating from Marmara University, Özcan continued her education in Cologne University, Germany, and worked in The Netherlands, Finland, Scotland and Switzerland throughout her career. At present, Professor Doctor Özcan is serving as Head of Dental Materials Department in Dental Health Faculty in Zurich University in Switzerland, and is at the same time working as Secretary General of European Prosthodontic Association.
Writing more than 350 scientific articles and contributing to a great many of articles during her job career, Özcan gave a statement to Sözcü.com.tr. “It was a surprise for me to be deemed worthy of this prize which is usually given to scientists at the end of their job careers only at my 48 years of age. I am very proud and happy,” said Özcan.
